Well pix of my bike show the engine guard did it's job well.

A new engine guard and going to have to make a new cover for it...

Glad to hear that you are recovering,
and that the guard worked..

Good to hear that your recovery is well underway and that you seem to be in good spirits. Concentrate on recuperating - you can deal with the rest later.

If they do designate it a total loss that does not mean you have to give up the motorcycle. It does mean that the title will be tagged and you will have to get a new title issued that indicates it is a salvage, which naturally affects future re-sale value. Since it sounds like you may ride again you could always take the Actual Cash Value (ACV) they offer and, if there is no apparent wobble, put some of the cash into replacing the few damaged parts and still enjoy riding her occasionally. Then again you'll know if you even want to ride again. If you have doubts or fears which is completely understandable, that's not really a good thing to ride around with.

almost out of here, probably home by tomorrow. I actually find myself wanting to ride lol. it is the 'never surrender, never give up, never give in' side of my nature. makes me opinionated and headstrong at times =)

feeling a lot better since they moved me to acute rehab wing. much more peaceful here. good quiet roomie. got good sleep last night. makes all the difference.
utrasound of my legs showed blood clot in the left femoral artey has cleared
will be homeward bound by tomorrow.

bike is sitting at dealership in eureka til after jly 4th, the red bluff yamaha/polaris will take it in for ins eval. Jed put everything on her for me, he says he is equipped to do the teardown and eval. guess pacific powersports in eureka know nuffin bout street bikes anymore.

so that is being handled, hopefully shipping it 150 miles wont cost much.

love n hugs to you all

Sorry to here about you going down, Hope for fast recovery. After I went down back in 2000 it took a year to get back on and I wasnt hurt just didnt feel comfortable. Sold the bike then relized my mistake and bought another one 6months later been riding ever since. Again feel better.
