Along these same lines, I would like to hear everyone's opinion on two different things I've heard recently. These are two different topics, not related in the same conversation from different people.
1. Sport bike sales are steady or increasing compared to cruiser sales because the demographics are changing. (I guess the comment about millennials sheds light on this)
2. Familiar bike rally atmosphere where old fat retired guys walk around and girls flashing their boobs is going to be dieing off because the younger generation bikers don't relate that to their bike culture.
Thoughts?

1. dont know about the numbers but the propensity for huge numbers of cruisers is waning. Beats me how we ever got there anyways, most of them suck as bikes.
2. Old fat guys with goatees and fu manchu's and black t-shirts and chaps is the prototype. Go look (unless you look like that) and its damn near like a uniform, everyone looks the same. You need a spotters guide to figure out differences in the bikes too. Its a joke really. Younger guys in general are a wee bit smarter frankly. Not buying the billy bad ass look for the weekend on your bike. Nor are they buying in to the bikes as being presented with the "culture".
I've been riding 51 years and worked in the industry and honestly it was much healthier in days gone by for many reasons.
