Plates 6 Months, 1 Week ago
|
|
Just curious how the different states/countries vary in the cost of putting plates on your bike.
Here in Iowa my plates are $10 annually for license. Last week I was in Kansas visiting my brother-in-law and he indicated that he was paying a lot more than that. He was mentioning some sort of tax and I wasn't sure if that was a one time fee or reoccurring. For some reason $400 sticks in my mind. Was hoping Kaidallac might be able to chime in. Especially as his new ride should be coming in shortly.
BIL has a Street Glide.

Here in Montana it's a one time fee of about $50. No yearly registration renewal.

Both my 2000 and my 2007 cost me about $100 each to renew the registration annually. When I get a new bike the registration cost will be based upon the sale price. California is NOT a cheap place to live.

Just got my renewal. 126 for my 02 in California, but that's going to go up I think another 25 bucks a year to line the pockets of the politicians out here who said their going to use it to fix roads. Ya right.

I believe it's $28 a year for my 04 in Michigan plus $5 or $10 for the park pass which is optional.

Wisconsin gets $69.50 for a title when you buy the bike.
Registration is $22 for 2 years, renewed every April in even numbered years.
If you buy in the middle of a registration cycle, the $22 is pro-rated.

Oh yeah, $138 per year (yeah I have a personalized plate-so it's a little more expensive). I'm ready to transfer all our vehicles to AZ using the in-laws address in Havasu!
