Need Fenders? 1 Year, 8 Months ago
Searching eBay for stuff closest to my house and came up with a few $14 fenders in my town.

Turns out the guy designed the fender tips for our bikes and many other, and has a storage shed full of them.

Shipping is tough at $35, but check out the seller rdrnnr72 on eBay.

He has some more RoadStars and many other bikes.
(really interesting at how close all the fenders are to each other, with just minor mounting differences. )

That's interesting... and on a related note: It interesting that, since Star wanted to have a plethora of aftermarket parts available the day these bikes were first released, the only way to do it was to contract out to a bunch of Harley aftermarket parts MFGRs. Which is why many of the Star Accessories parts are just HD parts with different holes for mounting... Or in some case, a direct fit; like the 9.5" fender stud spacing. It's also why I have to carry some SAE tools with me.

Also why when you buy "Jap" accessories you are getting stuff made in America.

seems to me that whoever designed the fender tips for the front fender dropped the ball.the chrome rear piece for the front fender sticks out about a half inch too far and you can easily cut your hand on the corner of it. the rear fender chrome tip fits very well though. i made custom pieces to match up with the front and rear tips for the front fender and had them chromed. speaking of custom made parts, why is the yamaha grab rail no longer available? i had to make one of them too. i had that posted on the forum once, can't remember if i had the fender pieces posted though.sorry for the rant.

The grab rail was never a Yamaha part. It is and was always a custom piece.
