Memphis shades batwing fairing question 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Local guy has a batwing fairing with 7inch windshield, wind deflectors , 3 pouches chrome trim and trigger lock mounting hardware for sale locally for 220.00. It came off his Yamaha 1300. Anyone know if mounting hardware etc compatible with a roadstar. ?

I just missed a Kuryakyn batwing a month ago. It came off a 1300. What really made it hard was that it was the same color as my bike. I found through research that i needed a mounting kit from Kuryakyn for the Roadstar. So if it's Kyrakyn, i think you'd need a mounting kit. Over $100. Don't know about Memphis Shades or others.

It sounds to me that by the time you buy it and a mount kit for the R* that you could buy a better fairing that is more than just an outer fairing shell like the MS for about the same or less money. Check with chiefriceburner, he is a dealer for a couple different fairings including Reckless fairing that is a high quality inexpensive fairing.

It's not. It's also not a very impressive fairing. All it is, is an outer shell of a fairing.

I had a MS as my first fairing...each make of bike has it's own mounting hardware....I soon wanted to add things...tunes, gauges...so I went with the HD touring fairing..it gives a bigger wind pattern protection and I can add whatever I want..or just plug the holes with inexpensive hole plugs from HD dealer.doing it over again??? I would start with the HD fairing and save some $$...IMHO

Geeze, for $9 more you could buy a new fairing from USA Trailer Store.
IMHO, the Memphis Shades 'fairing' only looks good in pictures. It's kind of small in real life.

I have a Harley front shell & genyooeyen-hillbilly-engineered mount for a Roadstar I'll sell for less than that if you just want a bare shell.

Do you have any pics of this redneck fairing setup?
