2 months! 4 Years, 5 Months ago
Well, I've been riding my new Roadie for almost exactly 2 months now. It was late July when I started riding short trips around here with the walking cast on still. Now, I've been limping around for almost 2 weeks, no cast at all, doing rehab. Have taken some cool trips on the new bike with no problems (other than stereo issues that won't quit-not the bikes problems, just stuff I've added to it) at all. So far, this bike has seen 9 different states in just over 2 months for a total of 5500 miles

The day my Bro in law rode it home for me:

Tonight:

Here's to many more trouble free miles

You trying to finish breaking it in before you go back to working full time for a living?

Nah, it won't be broken in for a couple more years

Although, I have learned a lot about the FI systems on these bikes in the last couple months. Still debating about the high performance throttle body and high flow intake. Needs a PCV and a custom tune to wake this beast up. Would do it in a second if I knew for sure that it would work and run flawlessly. This bike has a lot more potential than the designers gave it.

Although, I'm not unhappy with it. Ran all around the Catskills and down to the WV and VA mountains without any problems at all, even thru all the crazy rainstorms (I got rained on every day I was on the road, in a big way). This thing just has so much more potential as far as useable power goes. I'm sure I'll do it, and I'll be sure to write up a pioneering article on it. I just wish someone else would do the pioneering for me

Yeah, my 2000 was just getting broken in also, until some D-bag T-boned me and shattered my left foot (and totaled the bike)

Congratulations on the new bike, your recent road trips, and your foot healing up. Glad to see and hear how much you're enjoying the riding.
