We were in the North Carolina / Tennessee mountains the last few days and stayed the the Two Wheel Inn in Robbinsville NC.

For those wanting to visit that area to ride the Tail of the Dragon, the Cherohala Skyway etc that is a good place to stay.

The rooms each have their own bike garage that holds one full boat cruiser or two smaller bikes. You push a button inside your room to raise or lower the garage door. This was nice because it stormed like crazy the first night we were there. You dont have to peek out the window during the night to make sure your bike did not get stolen like you do when it is parked outside overnight at a normal motel.

The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and housekeeping did a great job.

They now have a restaurant next door with good food and a full bar that is open for lunch or dinner.

Now that I am a "senior rider" I tend to appreciate all that kind of stuff. I am too fat, old and crotchity to bike camp anymore

One very important thing to note if staying in Robbinsville...it is in a dry county

So, buy your Jack Daniels somewhere on the way in because you can’t get it at the store in town

I love the two wheel inn! I have stayed there several times while in the area.
One of the great things that I love about it is the way the outside set up so that in the evening everyone can sit outside and mingle. Plus it is all motorcyclist that stay there.
I have not been there in the last couple years and didn't know about the place next door. Thanks for the heads up.
