I am a new owner of a 1999 Custom Roadstar that I know nothing about as it relates to common issues and thought this would be a great group to get connected with. My first issue is that I went on my first road trip this past weekend and the fuel pump on my bike acted up twice. It would just vibrate and no fuel would get to the carb. Before my road trip, I had only ridden it locally without any issues. On the road trip, although it acted up, after a short period of time, the issue went away and it started both times. I guess once I learn how to post my question, I will. Glad to be here.

from harrison township, mi. About 1 hour from you. You might want to go pumpless or someone might have one laying around. Pinwallcycleparts on ebay does real well with roadie parts. Pump failures are not common but i have seen posts one or two times they died. Also check to see if the recall was done. Its a trans recall.

welcome from MA you did well, it's a pretty one.if the pump is giving you trouble just eliminate it.
