Problem is, it may have been fine on the previous guys bike as the belt and pulley probably wore together so it may not have made noise. The new belt is a very different profile than that worn pulley so it's making things worse. I'd just write it off & make it into a shop clock as someone mentioned.

I know what I can do with this pulley but it would take some greasing up to get it done. Oh well, I will know next time. I think that I will try to find something like it cause I really like the look and if anyone has any specific suggestions about a harley wire spoke conversion that they have done I would appreciate the advise/instructions.

Lifeguard, I have a stock 70 T 1 1/2 pulley in nearly new condition - only about 15,000 miles on it, no damaged teeth, you could have cheap.

PM me if you're interested.

If the new belt hasn't sustained any damage, you could clean it and use it.

Thanks so much that is really cool of you to offer. I still have my original pulley sitting on the workbench. The other spoked piece of shit was sitting on the same spot on the work bench since last March and I put it on the bike on Tuesday to find all of this out. I will just have to put the old one back on and start all over again. But really thanks man I appreciate the offer.
