Jason I'm sorry to hear this. Give it some time and see where you are in the spring. I know it's hard to give up something you love to do but take care of home first. Good luck my friend.

Jason, you've been a huge asset to this forum & whether you ride or not there are a lot of us here who will always want to pick your brain, shoot the bull or share a laugh with you.
No matter which way you go in your decision, just remember that events in our lives don't define us, our own actions & reactions do. Sometimes, the only difference between an adventure and an ordeal is attitude. Knowing you're trying to measure & balance all the aspects of your decision says a lot about your character, and it's all good.
I wish you & your family nothing but the best whether you ride or not. As others have said, a decision now doesn't have to be permanent (either way) so keep your options open and do the best with what you have to work with.
Jason , my friend , my brother; I know what your going through,it is very tough at this time. Take some time and find you and your family. Take this decision, one day at a time just as yoy would any other issue . I have done alot of things in my life that I loved with so much passion. Each one of those are chapters in my life and I am working on a very thick book. B ob Segars says it best with "Turn the page". Jason , I have sky dived , drag raced, and road my bike, each one with a different passion. They are just chapters. Mr brother, when I go to bed at night I do not loose any sleep over what happened. Do not beat yourself up, when we talked in icu I told u then " this is what we do" everday we ride for the passion and we know as with any hobbie, there are risk. Don't let others get in your head. Just wanted you to hear my .02 worth. I love you and wish you the best. Joe

Jason,
Whatever you decide is best has to come from within you. No one else knows what is truly in your mind and in your heart. Do what you feel is right by yourself and your family and things will workout how they are supposed to.

That's sad to hear but family does come first and your a good man to put them in front. Like you said later on down the road you may find yourself riding again. I know if I went down my wife and daughter would be very hesitant to want me riding again. It took me ten years to talk my wife into buying one. You've done a lot for this place and I appreciate all you've contributed. Good luck.

I think what SMOKINJOE has posted here is very noble. It's not every man who would look at what transpired with such honesty and dignity. I salute you Sir and wish you all the best in your recovery.

It's smokeless, that's what. Where there's smoke there's fire, so that would be a fireless clinic. First its Stevie and now this. You cant't leave us.
