Be gentle Use a soft brush and only soap and water. The spokes are very thinly coated and the coating comes off the more often and vigorous that you clean them. Doc

When I bought mine, it had bad looking gunk all over the spokes. I used SOS pads and very lightly rub the gunk off. They now shine like new, but as stated above, don't be to abusive with them.
