Has anyone or would anyone recommend using lock washers to take up the recessed area under the nuts holding the new pulley on?

I can't see how they would hurt anything. I'm running washers under the nuts, but can't remember if they are lock washers. I torque the nuts whenever I remove and replace the pulley, which isn't often since I swapped to a 65T.

That's probably what I should have done
What I did was get some washers that fit the bolt and then ground down the perimeter of the washer until it fit inside the recess
A lock washer might have fit to begin with

Looks good - let us know how you like it after you've got a few miles on it.

Does anyone know the size of the drill bit to use to increase the size of the hole to accept the studs and nuts on the pulley. Thank you Brett

I think some try 15/32 first, and then go to 1/2" if it's too tight. I'd probably just go to 1/2".
