$7000 is a lot, but nothing compared to what could have happened to you. Luckily you're an experienced rider that was able to keep the situation under control. I'm glad you're okay, and were able to walk away from the accident.

Thank you everyone. I really am very thankful I am alive. I could be dead if it happened any other way. I still wake up at night seeing it happen in my sleep. Everything does happen in slow motion, I had time enough to pray for help while my bike was going down...again thanks everyone.

Glad you came out standing buddy. Was it a rubber valve stem? Did they put a new one in when they changed the tire?

Glad to hear you are OK.

Just got back from a 2 day ride with my wife when I logged on to a couple of bike forums. Seems like accidents were a common theme in the past few days. One super scary one here on the same type bike we rode this weekend: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?129564-Totaled-My-Bike

Boy, it makes all of us step back and think.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. The bike can wait.
