Pumpless quick question - 1 Year, 3 Months ago

Is removing the rollover valve enough venting or do I need to do the gas cap too?

I removed my rollover valve and vented the cap on both my Roadies. Some have done one or neither without issues.

As long as the vent line is clear you don't even have to do that.

J I have 3 Roadies and have done none not sure why everybody does it even they say it's a solution to carb puke but I don't think it's proper better than fix the carburetor if it leaks damn sure don't want garage smelling like gas anymore than it already does school's not out I'm using the pump some of us die hard and keep it I like it cuz when you turn the key the gases at the carburetor without delay in case you forgot to turn the gas on or go from regular to reserve to me it's a safety issue

All I did was vent the cap. I've had zero problems since.

I have a Baron's flush mount cap on my bike, it is vented but not as much as the gutted OEM caps. I pulled my rollover valve out and have had zero problems pumpless with the grizzly valve and a high flow fuel filter.
While I did not see this question asking for opinions in the original post, I do find the humor entertaining. One has to assume nobody keeps lawn mowers, edgers, leaf blowers, tillers, chainsaws, etc., etc., in their garages either? I doubt that it is just my yard / garden tools that have vented tanks on them too

Cap was vented on mine. Don't even know if the rollover valve is clogged or not but I have no problems. Did the Grizzly needle too.

Vented cap only. It's not necessary to do both.
