Throttle grip pin?? 5 Years, 7 Months ago
I am putting apes on and have not decided whether to grind off that pin on the housing or drill the bar? I am leaning towards grinding it off so if I want to adjust the bars forward or back I can do that. Has anyone had any problems with grinding it off? I want to do it right. Thanks

My pin got broke off when I wrecked my bike. When I rebuilt it and put the T-Bars on it worked just fine.

used a small file, 5 minutes, and it was gone. Tightened
it, and no problems.

Mine spun on the bars after grinding it off so I drilled a hole in the back side of it and tapped it for a small set screw.

I had one on a previous bike that was removed and that damn thing spun all the time. Hated it.

I had the same problem but I made a 1 inch wide strip out of a pop can long enough to go around the bar.
It's worked great ever since
