I'm sure we could hook him up with a couple of RSC patches for those straps? Maybe some studding?

Hello Everyone,
Finally back at the forum. I have read everyone's ideas and comments. Wonderful job
Just my first thoughts, the red seat idea is cool but could be costly and maybe a little on the heavy side. Not sure how much these weigh. I think if we go with the backboard version currently being designed by someone with some long padded side supports it would be adequate. It could even be made adjustable by incorporating t-slots so it can move side to side and then tightened down with a nut. I have access to some equipment at my work. We have laser, waterjet, CNC mills, EDM, etc. Of course I would need permission from the company to use any of them. The lap belts are cool looking just wondering if we could cut the cost down on these by using a basic Velcro type system? I spent hours this morning researching all over the net for anyone who had done this effort before and currently I could not find anything so this would be a first. That's pretty cool. I imagine in the future as money allows that I will probably opt for a sidecar but that's in the future. Right now just to take him on short fun rides would be exciting for him. When this project is complete I plan on having a video of his first ride on Youtube.

Tom, maybe you should contact Jd750ace...and see what he came up with? He mentioned something about a rolled formed back plate versus plywood? Kai

Not a bad plan. My idea was much the same, but with a roll formed back plate and bumper wings at the head level. I'll give more detail tomorrow.

I can't do much from here, but I'd like to chip in on some of the cost.
