passenger turn signal blows fuse 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi, I'm going thru my wiring harness- I'm having issues with the right turn signal blowing the fuse (not everytime) but when I'm braking and have the turn signal on it pops about 50% of the time - I'm going thru the wiring harness and cannot find anything obvious. Is there a specific spot where these typically wear thru? Thanks

You probably have a wire somewhere that has worn through the insulation. Just the right combination is allowing it to short to ground and blow the fuse.

I would track each wire and physically inspect them for wear. Arduous task, but probably the only way to find it. Another alternative to that would be to run all new wires and splice them into the old. In all likelihood, that will also fix the problem but with no satisfaction of actually finding the cause.

yup- working on going thru it- was hoping there was a common area to inspect before cutting the whole harness apart. thanks
