My 650 had open handlebars and i liked it. When i got my roadie i went with a removable fairing so i could take it off when i wanted. That didnt work out so well. After i got use to a fairing as soon as i hit the freeway without one i had to laugh at myself and ask myself "i liked all this wind?"

I have always had at least a windshield, but every now and then while cleaning up the bike I will run to the store with the fairing off and even at 45mph-ish I hate it. Now I wear a half helmet and the wind roaring in my ears is a big part of that but the feeling of being a parachute also sucks.

It's been a little bit since you installed your batwing, how do you like it so far?
Are there any changes you think you would have done differently?

I like it alot. The only problem was that I forgot to loctite one bolt and it fell out along my ride to Street Vibrations. I've ordered some replacements but it has taken awhile to send them to me. If you order one I went through Mike w/ED Seats. He was a big help with my selection. Here is a picture on my ride into Virginia City that weekend. Hope this helps.

I don't like to put anything in between me and what I need to see except one piece of preferably poly carbonate with no tint of course if I lived up there where it's already 8 degrees wind chill I would also like to have something to cover my hands but I don't we can only dream of cool weather hopefully by next week the night-time Mercury will go down to 70

It does look nice, how high are your eyes above the top of the windshield, does the wind hit you right in the face or is it going over.
you have the 5 inch shield are you ok with the affects from that height?
