Dave I’ll have to get back into it I haven’t been into the enriched other then to change the choke cable what part in there can stick. I just readjusted my pms screw and it seemed happy at 1.5 turns out which seems low compared to other people’s I ordered a new spring for the diaphragm

Under the white cover on the side of the carb there is a spring and a diaphragm attached to a plunger. the plunger fits into a bore and must move freely. I have seen a few that the plunger is stuck/corroded into the bore and will no longer move. If you find this simply clean it all up if possible so that it moves again. I have never had to replace 1 but have cleaned a few.

Unlikely, as long as it is an adjustable needle it really don't matter what brand it is you should be able to get the right combination of jetting to work with it.

I'm thinking out loud here but just for shits and giggles lets try going back down in size on the pilot jet. Go back to the #35 and if it gets better but still on the rich side go to a 32.5. the main circuit may not be the issue, it might be the mid range pilot circuit that we have too rich. The 37.5 is based on lower elevation jetting and I'm not sure how much the pilot size fits in with the self compensating features of a CV carb. The self compensating has more to do with movement of the upper diaphragm and main circuit. The pilot is constant. You may also be able to just turn in on the PMS to prove my thoughts. Turn it in to about 1/2-3/4 turn total. If it seems better we can go from there.
