Buy a 170 mikuni main jet and a 37.5 pilot jet then put the needle clip in the 4th groove turn the pms at 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 turns out. You should be able to buy those jets at any HD dealership. If they ask what it is out of tell them it is from an HSR42 carb. We know it isn't but the HSR carb jets will fit. If you tell them it is from a Yamaha with a Mukuni BSR40 carb it will confuse them and they will say they can't help you.

Edit: I will check to see if I have either of those jets, if I do I will send them to you.

Edit, edit I just checked my jet kit and don't have either of the jets you need. My selection is getting pretty thin.

Got her done Dave 170 main 3.75 pilot and needle dropped to the 4th notch still seems rich had the Pam screw at 2 1/2 loosened it until ran rough put it back in til rough and then backed it off bike still runs great but if just sitting idle in the garage crack it to rev limiter as soon as I hit the limiter I get some black exhaust I have a poker run Saturday so I'll put some miles check the plugs and see if I can live with it where it's at don't mind a little rich as long as I don't need to change plugs twice a year

You are not rich with the jetting you now have. I wouldn't be hitting the rev limit in neutral. that isn't checking anything. Put some Seafoam in the fuel tank and go for your weekend ride. It will be OK. As rich as you were you probably got a lot of crap to blow out of there.

It'll always throw raw fuel banging the limiter in neutral. There is no load on the engine and you are whacking it with the accelerator pump every time you do that.
