Leaking fuel 2 Years, 3 Months ago
Ok I know these bikes will sometimes have issues with carb puke but as far as I can tell, this is not carb puke.

Here's what's happening, I go to the bike, it's cold and hasn't been started all day, I take it off the stand and start backing up. While backing up the bike jostles this way and that way. Well then I notice wet spots on the pavement and pools of fuel in the crevices on the bike. The fuel goes through the air cleaner and starts leaking everywhere. I can take off the cleaner and witness it leaving the carb throat.

Anybody have a clue what's up with this?

Stuck float or bad float valve or seal allowing too much gas to enter the bowl? Are you pumpless? Are you turning the petcock off when you park it?

Bad O-ring on the float needle seat or like Shores said trash in the seat. I would replace the needle and seat. I just finished a carb for BigWu that had a carb puke problem. The seat O-ring had shrunk so bad I when I pilled the seat screw out it just fell out and it should be a tight fit. Don't think he has on yet to tell how it is. The have to be changed as a set and don't cost that much.

Negative on pumpless and negative on turning the petcock off.

Ok so let's say I replace the needle and seat including o ring with stock oem parts, when I go pumpless (that is the eventual plan), would they just be replaced all over again?

Sounds exactely what my bike did when I had the stock carb. Everything suggested already, I did, lowered float (twice), replaced o-ring and valve. Still leaked, as well as the fuel ate up and ruined a K&N filter. Spoke to a number of the carb guru's back then as well, even they were lost on this issue. Never went pumpless since I'm not a proponent of going gravity feed on stock carb. Ended up going to the 42 flatside.

Yes. If you go pumpless, you'll be switching the Grizzly 3.0 gravity flow Needle and seat.

Make sure to check your oil in case the overflow was leaking into the intake manifold and cylinders. Not sure if that is possible but maybe while its leaned over on the side stand it could have gone there.

Well I guess this would be as good a time as any to go pumpless. Seeing as how I'd need to replace those exact parts anyways.

Scraper I'll be sure to check the oil just in case.
