Royal star exhaust, fits roadstar? 3 Months, 1 Week ago
|
|
Does anyone know if the 2005 royal star dual exhaust would fit a 2003 roadstar? Thank you for any insight you can provide! I am talking with someone about purchasing some bits from their crashed royal star, I would like his bags and brackets but I also have my eye on the dual exhaust. Thanks

pipes won't fit. The bags will work with a couple little custom tweaks and will look great.

Awkward....if this were live conversation, the whole room would have went silent.

Sorry, never seen a royal star before so I have no idea. I assume the bags won't fit with my longshots anyway, that's been the problem with the last 3 sets of bags I got. My bike is used/ almost used up so I don't want to install a brand new exhaust system. Rather start looking for a fresher bike to invest in. Also it's officially winter here so won't be in the seat for some time. Thanks for the replys!

Thanks for the replys! The reason the room went silent is the Royalstar is a 1300cc V4 and hopefully you know what your riding is. But yes the bags look awesome on the R*. You can still make them work without duels buy shortening plus adding turnouts.

If it doesn't have a couple hundred thousand miles on it that is not true.

Yes, I was going to ask the same question. How many miles are on your bike. I wouldn't consider mine used up until it crumbled to the ground, then I would purchase another used bike and move my parts over. I am rather fond of my Road Star though, I can not think of anything I would rather ride.

My bike has 110k, it was all I could afford for a used first bike. Now that I know I enjoy riding I would be comfortable investing more money into this hobby with a lower mileage bike and add the flavour that I like. I think my bike still has life left, and hopefully someone else does if I let her go. I feel it is just to heavy for my wife to start riding as her first bike because there are still times I struggle with tossing the bike around at slow speeds. I have only seen 1 royal star listed in local for sale ads and honestly assumed v four was a typo. Thanks for all the info.

110K is not necessarily high for the extremely bullet proof Roadstar.
Definitely not my recommendation for anyone as a first bike. Get her a V-Star 650 or 950.
Stripped down, the Roadstar feels significantly lighter and is a hoot to ride.
