Relearned with that baby then some practice with newer Harleys. May as well add my 2 cents. I'm 52, broke my collarbone on a minibike with those crappy band brakes when I was 10. Continued to ride same minibike with collarbone brace, crap brakes and now bent forks. First real M/C Yamaha 80 dirt bike. My current Road Star is bike # 94. At least 40 of those never ran or ran poorly. Not rich or from a rich family, Army brat, never made more than $18K a year as an adult. Married my high school sweetheart, they said it wouldn't last, they were wrong. She rides a V-star 650 Classic. Have had 4 sidecars too, hoping for a 5th one. Disabled now but still riding. I have CHF, COPD, Diabetes, Hypoxia, Narcolepsy, Sleep Apnia, and some really ugly toenails. Got on a dirtbike (my buds) one time when i was 15 and got snake bit. Got my first road bike at 17 road it a season and had to sell it. Met my wife and had a kid real fast, she was deathly afaid of bikes for years so we had a lot of fights cause i wanted back on two wheels. After she finally caved in i got her on the back shortly after and now she loves riding. I got a 86 Suzuki GS550L a couple of years ago and fought with getting that thing to run right for a year. Got the R* in March and couldn't be happier. I swore off 25 years ago for no particular reason other than life got in the way. This past January my son and I rented a pair of Heritage Softails for a day. Three days late I bought my Road Star. Son got a V-Star 650. We ride together often. In June I added a Venture to the stable. I've got over 12000 miles in so far this year between the two bikes. I'm loving it.
