Ok, I felt ambitious today so I checked my front pulley for the first time since I have had the bike. I just got it over the winter. My question is, one of the cover bolts, if looking at the cover, it is the second one from the bottom when looking at the grouping on the front edge of the cover, had some milky looking oil on the threads when I removed it. I wiped it off and looked in the hole, it appears to be a dead hole. Am I correct on this? Nothing is leaking or appears to be, even when the bolt was removed and the hole open, nothing came out. I am hoping that for some reason the PO
put a dab of oil on the bolt and rain water has mixed with it. Any ideas? Oh yeah, my pulley nut was tight and the washer tab was still bent tight against it on my '04 with 13,500k miles.
