Quick question, folks. I have a 2000 Roadie. Intend to pull the cover tonight and check the bolt.
When the bike was in the shop a couple years back for the engine rebuild/big bore install, I'm *pretty sure* (but not 100%) that the tech said he did something to make sure the front pulley wouldn't loosen - I'm assuming he just used red loctite. I'll know better once I open it up...
That said - when I open it up, if it IS loose (or is easily loosened?) and I re-torque it after applying red loctite, what torque should I use? I know "stock" torque is 63 ft lbs, but that's for a stock 1600.
I'm running 108 CI
) with cams, HC
pistons - the works - never been on a dyno
but it's way more powerful than it was pre-mods - so should I tighten the nut to 100 ft lbs (upper limit of my wrench) or am I going to damage something?
