top speeds are like ET's, mostly fiction. I want to see timing slips or it didn't happen.

Top speeds in particular are mostly windy stories. 130 plus? Not on a cruiser and not with a windshield and bags.

Roadies couldn't do that if you pushed it off a cliff.

Yep.

I could see a stripped down Roadie being capable of 130 if it had the big bore and cams and was tuned properly. Stability would become an issue also.

Mine will run high 90s in 4th... will BARELY hit 100. I weigh over 300 and it has bags and a windshield. Had a katana at 120...had my sons vtx1800 130....my friend was killed in a bike wreck running from the cops. He told me his goal was to hit 200 on his bike. Someone listening to the chase on scanner said they clocked him at 202 i watched the police copter video of his wreck. They called off the chase but he thought they were still after him...drove straight through a curve.

In 2005 I had a 2003 Honda cbr600rr and got it up to 155. At that speed it feels like you are being ripped off of it.

That's why you stay tucked in

I feel pretty comfy tucked in at 160+ until I try to steal a glance behind me. Visor better be locked down or it will disappear

Front straight at VIR has a kick in it. Best way to run thru it is to stay leaned off the right side while running full throttle. Not an easy thing to do at 150+ there either

Bad deal.

Running that fast at night couldn't end good.

This one will. . . . . it says so right in his craigslist ad. Not a bad price, but have to wonder the wisdom of somebody putting something like that in their advertisement

https://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/mcy/5643238005.html

Quote from ad: "We call it "HELLVIRA" this bike will do 140mph 28,000 miles clear title rpm tack , cobra straights, new battery, new starter relay..35000 obo"

just noticed he went from $3500 in header to $35,000 in description. can't type or proofread either . . . .

And now we know why you were wonderin about buyin an out of state bike. LOL You'll soon own the fastest Roadie on the RSC. LOL
