Damn thing fell on me.....lol 7 Years, 6 Months ago
I just had the carb redone by a friend of mine and fired that bad boy up, what a sweet sound she makes.
So as I am backing her out of the garage to change the oil filter (rusty) the damn thing falls over to the left pinning me to the wall, now that's my bad leg so I had to work at it it for some time to get my leg out and a wait a while for my neighbor to help me pick it up.
My god does that bike sound fine, loud doesn't even come close to describing how it sounds!
I'm so thank full that there was not a lot of damage dome to the Chicken when she went down!
Just keeping you guys updated!

I feel for you. My bike fell off of a floor jack and killed my tool box. I was so pi$$ed the adrenaline helped me pick it up. Glad you were not hurt though.

Once they start going they are really hard for us old guys to stop. Mine pinned me against my roll around tool box. OUCH THAT HURT!

I leaned mine to the left thinking the stand was down and the damn thing went down on my leg. There's a point when you can stop the bike from falling and where you can't. I reached the "can't" stage and it pinned me...

Been there, done that! Was backing out of the garage once and left foot slipped out from under me, fought like hell to hold it up but finally had to set her down breaking left front turn signal . Bent over and grabbed handle bar and seat and proceeded to lift the the bike squat style(back to the bike) and i'll be damned if it didnt come up easier than I thought and BAM backwards I go bike and all breaking the right front turn signal!! Ain't gravity a pain in the a$$??

Glad you are OK.

I've backed up into my deck twice and rammed the neighbors boat. My rear fender has a few scratches... You'd think I was driving a semi or something...

Glad the chicken is back up and running! How about YOU? All healed up from the crash? I know it's been a while and you were thinking of going to a trike or just not riding ever again. So how are things? Do you still hear from Cathy? I haven't seen her here or on BON in a while.

Darn

Re:Damn thing fell on me.....lol 7 Years, 6 Months ago
I think many of us have done this where we think the stand is down and lean to the left and suddenly we have to try and catch all 800 pounds of our baby. I was backing my scoot out of the garage between my truck and car in the drive way. I always have the stand down when making these kind of moves so if it goes at least there is a 50% chance that it will stop. For some reason I put the stand up and started back got next to my truck and let her go to the left oops. Well my head hit the truck and then my shoulder. Now I was kind of in a bind and a bit pinned. I managed to use my neck to push myself up a little so I could get leverage with my left leg and push the scooter up and finally got it to the stand. No damage to either the bike or the truck, my neck was another issue and for about 3 days turning my head was painful.
