For all of you using Mobil 1 20W-50, how many miles are you running between oil changes?

Well, I like Amsoil better, and they say 2X's factory recommended interval, so that's 8K or One year whatever comes first, with me the 8K is always first. I'll run Amsoil 10K but if I am going to rum Mobile One the same route I'd maybe push it to 6K or 7K then get nervous and change it. I certainly would not be getting my moneys worth out of it if I were to change it at 4K miles. At the very least Mobile one should be like 6.500 miles.

I always went 5000 miles with no problems at all, I did check the oil level every 2500 miles to make sure I wasn't loosing much. The Mobil 1 will go 10.000 miles but man is it dirty then and that's what I didn't like.

Plus its easy to remember every 5 grand, its the even number on the odometer

I'm with you Hotelfox,5K & change. Only difference, if I don't/haven't seen any spots/drops, I don't check the level.

I've always been a bit anal about changing oil. I changed dino oil every 1500 miles, figured I'd double that with synthetic, 3000 miles. Never had an engine go bad. My Guzzi has 145k on it, dino oil, changed every 1k-1500 miles. Mobile One at Wal-Mart is only $23 for 5 qts so it's 3000 miles for me.
