Anyone know who sells a sissy bar like this (or similar) that fits the road star?
I would like to have one like this for the next stage of my bobber (probably next winter)
I want to do a sissy bar like this and a mustang tank.
Or does anyone have one they want to sell?
I know it would be pretty simple to make. I'm guessing they are 1/2" stock. I don't have anything other than the basic tools, so bending up some 1/2" dia. stock may be a lot harder to do than it seems. The only thing I would have to heat it up with would be one of those small propane tanks with the torch tip screwed on.

Just make one using 9/16" round stock. I made this double rail using 9/16" and 1/2". No need for bends at the fender if you plan the top bend radius correctly. Just use a propane canister.

You need to find a welder fabricator to barter with Put an ad on craigslist, You must have some skills to barter with.

Rigid frame sissy bar is easiest thing there is pretty much. Buy some square or round stock, bend to fit. typically though you will need the fender support welded in place.
So far as a tank goes I happen to have a brand new (sitting on shelf for a couple years) Easy Rider tank...yup the Mustang tank with a center fill cap. Paughco #806CF.
Drop me a line I'll make anyone a smoking deal on it!

Quary "old school sissy bars" on EBay. Lots there.

Thanks, I have been looking on there. It seems like the widest ones (inside to inside) at the bottom end that mounts to the swing arm is about 9.5" The road star swing arm measures roughly 11". Maybe I could buy one and just bend it some to make it fit.
I'm envious of you guys that have shops to work out of. This looks like it would be easy to make one of these if I had the right stuff (and new how to use it)
