I did mine. I put a drywall screw in the seal on either side of the shaft. A vice grip on each screw and work it out. Get a piece of pvc pipe with a cap on one end the size of the seal. A little fluid around the seal, push it in to secure it then tap it in with the pvc and a rubber hammer. Boy, I don't know if it was just factory tight (unless they do something there when doing the transmission recall), but that nut was stripping out my 36mm socket while trying to remove it. I had to chisel it off.
