Harley 21" wheel up front 8 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi Guys, apologies if I've misplaced this post here, but hopefully someone out there has done this conversion recently, or is it better to buy a compatible 21" wheel? Living in NZ, Harley wheels and machine shops are more plentiful than compatible wheels for a Roady. I'd like to keep a spoked wheel up front, and rather than re-invent the wheel so to speak, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Cheers all!

Get a wheel with 1" sealed bearings, 3.5" wide and 11.8" rotors.

After that you need to get axle adapters to take you from the 1" bearing to 22mm axle (i can help)

The stock fender will also need to be raised about 1/4"

That's fantastic thank you very much - now I've a hard time locating the wider rims, but I'll keep up the search - are the 2.15" and 2.5"'s useless on road/harder to adapt, or is it more an aesthetic thing? Cheers for the help - very much appreciated

well the 2.15 and 2.5" wheels tire size doesn't have a adequate load rating but people do it anyway. i myself would rather wait for a 3.5" wide wheel if its going on my bike.

...that seems a pretty solid reason to wait I can see - are there simple spoked wheels available in this size made to fit Roadys? - I've seen mags aplenty but very few spoked wheels in this size for the Yam?
