Inovate A/FR Monitor 3 Years ago
Some of you guys and gals might remember I put on an Inovate wide band A/F
Today is the first day I really got to check out the fuel injection good with the monitor.
I rode a hundred miles down the freeway at about 80 mph and the monitor showed the fuel trim on the computer actually working.
The numbers reading at 80 would cycle from 14.2 to 14.7 repeatedly. The AIS
and the original mufflers are gone, I am running Samson Big Guns with homemade baffles, the air box is a round K&N.
The averaging light stays between 14.6 and 14.7 just like it was designed to do with the fuel trim and that is too constantly try to balance the fuel feed so that it averages 14.7.
Sooo...if you have fuel injection and want to change this stuff, it don't change a thing with the fuel balance.
I think Yamaha would have been better to use wideband o2 sensors, but the narrow band sensors with the computer does the job.
Also, on acceleration the readings drop as it should for plenty of power and performance for a cruiser.
The bike seems to just reach cruising speed at 80 and thats where she wants to run.
