Re:Upgrade of battery cables and starter cable 6 Years, 2 Months ago
Morning,
Thanks for the info on Warrior starter relay. I was running the part # list in tech section of the RS clinic and it was coming back for a RS. Part number You guys listed is what I was getting for a Warrior . Warrior starter will go with the starter that natches the relay - there is a cable in parts fiche(item 13 or 14) do I need to order this with the stater ?

Thanks

I'm running the Warrior relay, and I still get a really sluggish start now that the weather is getting cooler here in AZ. I just ordered the Flame Wires, and the next step will be to add a 310 cca battery.

Thanks for this thread....it addressed exactly what I was tryi8ng to accomplish!

I started having problems after 2-weeks after warrior relay install. turns over great but every now and then gauges go up like normal, then everything just shuts down ,no lights, gauges stuck at half mast, no power at all, took of side cover wiggled relay with key on, and power rebooted, kinda stumped. It shut down while riding today same deal, then restarted after a couple of rounds of cussing, any suggestions, what is the problem with the cheap chinese fuses. thanks.

You must have bought a clone that was made in China. They are junk I bought a real Yamaha Warrior relay new and have no problem at all. You get what you pay for.

They can be, but don't necessarily have to be. They also offer Standard and High Output. If you want a Chrome/High Output The part number would be MW-70-246. Check out the link below.

I'm not advocating you purchase from this vendor or any other, it's just that this link was convenient for showing all options that I'm aware of.

BTW, my main motivation for getting one of these would be to add more chrome.

I addvocate buying from phatperf because they are cheaper than most and offer free shipping and I"ve ordered a few things from them without issue.
