A.I.S. removal 9 Months ago
I'm trying to find out how to remove the A.I.S. on my 2012 Silverado. The tech articles refer to everything up to a 04. Is it similar?

There's a video on youtube that shows how to remove the AIS on a 2012. I used the Baron's kit when I did mine and it was very easy. Just take your time! It's not a major project. Have fun.

I have a print of the AIS plate if you need it. You can actually trace you one on on a 3/16 piece of aluminum by using the hose you take off. Tried to post a pic but too large.

I removed the AIS on my 2013. I got a baron's kit for it. made it very simple.
You will need to partially remove stuff on the left side of the engine so you can get in to the rear cylinder where you have to bolt that cover plate on. I am not sure what that IS on the left side, apposite my air cleaner lol but I just loosened it up and pushed it aside so I could get to the place that needed the cover plate. Bike will run well and no backfiring once you get that done.

Thanks for the offer but I have the kit with the 2 cover plates. I just needed to see how complicated this was going to be. Thanks again.
