I have an 08 and just made block off plates out of 16ga steel. Works great and cost me about $0.50.

Didn't look up the kit number, but all you'll be needing for the FI Roadie is the two block off plates and unplug the wires going to the AIS. The other stuff in the kit is for 1700 carb models.

And, here's what you should end up with for your wall hanging.

Yup on my '13 FI R* all I used was the block off plates and the rubber tit that went over the nipple on the intake where the carbon canister tube (CA emissions stuff) was routed to.

Easy peasy job =)

Yup, sucks to have year round 75-80 degree riding weather. How's your 110 degree heat with humidity and monsoons coming along there in TX?

Fair point

We have had 2 of the worst winters of all time in a row here in SE MI. Love the summers here where the daylight is never ending and the temps might go into the 90's (maybe a few days) but these winters have been brutal. But, I can pour gasoline into the street and light it on fire to keep warm without the fear of EPA goons coming to take me away

Jeeze, once the AIS is gone, it looks like a completely different bike. I like it!
