Congrats Loren! We'll be looking forward to checking out the new bike at next years meet and greet Stay healthy and keep Toby healthy too.

I look forward to next year's M&G. we may have to trailer the bikes up, lol but it will still be fun.
I did so enjoy being back on a bike, when toby rode me around yesterday, He said he will ride me around for as long as necessary til my right hand is in shape to pilot.

Toby has been doing well, he has been resting his shoulder, and eating well and we had a visit to the pain management doctor, He is feeling a lot better after the pressure point injections and the occipital nerve block.

I will post better pics of the new girl when we pick her up. Toby wanted to take a pic of me on the back of his yesterday but I told him no lol not til I can put full gear on don't want family freaking out at us lol

Loren, I say go for it! Keeping your spirits up is the best possible medicine to help speed your recovery! Having the bike there, to look at, sit on, polish throughout the winter and fantasize about will only encourage you more and more to continue your dream! In the grand scheme of things, money comes and goes, but you will still have the bike. Sounds to me like the "Stars" have aligned. You deserve some happiness in your life right now. ...Live the dream!

UPDATE: WooooHooo!!!! Congratz Loren! Didn't read all the posts before I posted above. Glad to hear you're getting the bike! That's seriously awesome and I'm extremely happy for you!! And good on Toby for taking you out; just make sure he goes further the next time! Riding that is. ...The burgers at Mad River sound like a good enough excuse. That is seriously beautiful ride, and the burgers are good to boot!

Well I called the dealership this morning and asked them if they could lower the price. I was talking to the owner himself and he has always done right by us. He ran the numbers, but said he would take a hit on the deal if he did that. (basically he would have had to eat the sales tax)

When he pays for a trade in, he usually gives a decent price, and he doesn't mark the bike up a whole lot to sell it. I know this, because he took in my stryker, gave me 6k for it, and sold it for 7k. He always services every trade in too.

He did tell me he would put a new front tire on it to match the new rear that was going on it the day we looked at it, and so I said "good enough" and told him we would be down friday to sign the paperwork and bring her home.

So this evening, I geared up as much as possible, and toby took me for a ride on his bike. It was wonderful. It didn't last nearly long enough, but he wisely turned us around after about 20 minutes so he didn't over tire me. *grumble*

But we can go again tomorrow!

He couldn't lower the price, but you're getting your dream bike at a already good price, with a new tire. And it's a beautiful bike that will probably run 200,000 miles. You did good!
Now you just need to get better so you can go show it off!!
Congratulations

The price is actually pretty good, since I have not been able to find this bike in this state available for the last 4 years lol

Robert (the dealership owner) put a full set of new tires, plus a full servicing on it.
I am looking forward to being ridden around on it, and eventually riding it.
I am also already compiling my mod wish list LOL, however mods will wait til Toby's stryker gets some love.
We are going for another little ride this evening. We are just waiting for the temps to cool off a bit

Congrats Ma'am I am certain that bike sitting in front of you will spur the acceleration of your healing, however I would like to recommend a device that may specifically help your wrist heal and strengthen faster https://powerballs.com/applications/wrist-rehab/ I use one of these on a regular basis to help combat carpel tunnel in both arms and wrists. Cant wait to hear about YOUR first you RIDE it, hopefully in the NEAR future
