i want to have decals made to match the tank. i want to put them on the hard bags. there's a place in Va that makes vinyl decals from photos. i take the pic of the graphics and upload to them and they make the decal. has anyone done this or heard about it?

This isn't exactly what you're talking about, but it is 3M vinyl wrap. Mine is from a guy on the Victory forum that set up a website with several patterns and color options (about 12,000 possible combinations). I did the installation and I'm pretty pleased with it. I've had 4 people ask me why I bought a new bike!

With what your describing, your imagination is the limit! Best of luck to you.

Not sure why I had so much trouble putting up this pic, but here's what my vinyl wrap looks like.

Back when my sister had her own cleaning business, she bought a Stika machine that makes decals out of vinyl. Since I have the only computer left in the family with a printer port in it, I sorta ended up with it. I used it a lot to make graphics for my radio controlled cars I used to race. Last used it to make some Autobot stickers for my Camaro. Go onto e-Bay and search for vinyl cutters. Some big machines out there, mine only goes to 6x6 inches. (definitely an older unit!)

i put an order in to posterburner.com. $60 for mirrored images of my tank decals. 5" x 17". said he'd do the best he can. may not be perfect match. for $60, i took the chance. must have taken 100 pics. try taking a pic of your tank without getting reflections.

Paint it a matte finish like mine. No wax zone here.

Just for the heck of it send me picture of what you want. I have a vinyl cutter that goes to 15" wide. I just want to see what it comes out like.
