I hope you heal quickly and they give you lots of pain meds. 4 broken ribs, ouch. I can relate. That thing they make you use, that you suck on as you breathe inwards and try to raise the indicator as high as you can? USE IT as much and as often as you can. This will help you restore any lost lung capacity and and also keep you from gathering fluid in your lungs.

It will hurt, but complications from not doing it can hurt worse... I hope they at least splinted your hand...
