I know there must be some members from around the area that is on fire, and I hope everyone is ok. This looks like a very bad fire.
I will keep everyone in that area in my thoughts.

I'm actually flying down there tomorrow from Sacramento to visit my son. He said the fires are about 20 mins from his place. He said the winds are insane.
I'm hoping the flights are all good.

I live about 10 miles from the Thomas fire (Ventura). It started Monday evening in the midst of seasonal gusty Santa Ana winds. Today (Friday) it's burned over 123,000 acres, with only 10% containment.
It roared through parts of Ventura, Ojai, Santa Paula and Filmore displacing over 27,000 residents. Over 400 homes have burnt to the ground. All evacuation centers are bustling with weary people, animals of all kinds, and volunteers.
Currently the wind driven flames are being pushed (inland) NW and E over unoccupied and National Forest land. Until the winds settle down who knows where it will hit next. There are currently 6 fires like this going on in Southern California but this one is the biggest.
