from balmy SE Wisconsin.

2008 was when Yamaha moved the trip/reset meter controls from the meter itself up to the handlebars.
The harness is different but if you like doing your own wiring you can probably make it work.
You'll also need to use the correct bezel unless you want the early setup's holes in the bezel for something else like rocket launchers, laser beams or an ejector seat.
