You're all good...the Republic Of Kalifornia doesn't do smog checks or even inspections on your bikes...if they did, I don't think I'd be on the road! Non DOT tail light...signal lights on the rear not 9" inches apart...think I'd better stop describing the illegal stuff on my bike....might jinx myself!

I think it's just for original ( NEW) sale in the state...after that they don't check.
On the other hand it could become a law tonight !!! States broke and will find a way to tax our a$$ somehow.

New bikes & pipes

Take it off, and don't lose it. Take some pics of it if you think you may want to put it back on. The last time this came up, selling it was the only place I saw that looked like it might become a problem for ya'll in the future. There were some issues about title transfers etc., for used vehicles.

Mine is at the bottom of a local landfill at this point.

Gonna be hard to "dig it up" if I ever need it in the future......

What was the answer to the OP's question? Mine stuff will be here tomorrow and I want to delete all the smog crap.
If we remove all the emission crap do we need to plug anything besides what comes in the Baron's AIS removal kit?

If it's gone, there's nothing left to plug. Cap the port on the manifold where the vacuum line connected, and install the block off plates per the instructions.
