Blues Trail Ride 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago

Just got back from a solo ride from Joliet, Illinois (Chicagoland) to Gulfport, Mississippi. Rode the Blues trail, which is South of Memphis route 61 through the Mississippi Delta. At Clarksdale (the Robert Johnson Crossroads if you know the blues legend) I took 49 south through Jackson and onto Gulfport. On the return trip my wife flew into Memphis and we spent a couple days riding to the historic blues sites in the area, as well as nights on Beale street which is a blast. Probably averaged around 310 miles per day, so I wasn't pushing too hard. All in all, for me, a great trip. Riding through the delta of Mississippi with very little traffic compared to Chicagoland, was really nice. Good weather, BBQ and Music. Can't really beat that in my book.
