It really depends on what you're looking for. When you say that your current jacket is not that heavy, do you mean it lacks adequate protection? Or does it not keep you warm enough? What is it you're looking for in a jacket? Another Textile? Mesh? Leather? Armored or not? 4 Season? Affordability? What's your budget?

I ask because I spent many months looking for a jacket that had to meet specific criteria and there are tons of choices out there.

If you're looking for value and variety, Cycle Gear is a good place to start. I'd avoid buying something online without trying it on first. The standard sizing from various manufactures are all over the chart. An XL for one company might actually be a Medium for someone else and visa versa. A 42 for one company might be the same as a 38 from someone else, etc.

Where ever you buy it, make sure they have a good return policy. I must have ordered 4 different jackets online, that I had to return, before I finally bought one locally. And I had to pay the return shipping on each one too.

Sorry, there's just no simple answer.

My uncle gave me a very nice armored HD jacket. It has a zip out liner and the outer part is mesh so it's cool in the summer and warm in the fall and winter. On problem with it is it says HD on it.

What size are you I have a real nice armored jacket with removable liner and armor that I may be getting rid of. Looks like my riding days are over unless my health improves a lot. It is a Tourmaster MD42 size type 2 and if you take all but the armor out it is mesh that can be worn in the summer. It hasn't been worn but a few times.

I will check that link as well. Thanks
As far as I was looking for was looking for something mildly armored and with a zip out liner so I can use it all season. I'm not sure but that may be a unreasonable request lol. Thanks!
