I have a question for you HOW did you get the OEM switch off?

You asked the question of the ages on how to get that ignition switch off or out. That SOB is really in there and protected like crazy and its way damn bigger than you think it is. Luckily I just used a sawzall and grinder and that was that!
Truthfully that whole ignition setup is the stupidest thing on our bike (after our carb). Just so overdone for all that it does and why in the heck they put it where they did is incredible. Lot of it has to do with making it easy to lock the fork in that position.

curt, after grinding w/ cut off wheel i found the two phillips head screws reachable from below. this will seperate the switch from the base. the base is attached to the frame with hardened screws...with no head...grinding or carbide drill will remove.

Wrong I broke a carbide on mine but got it fixed without taking it off.
