I was working in Austin for 7 months and commuting home to Dallas for the weekends. About a month in, a family of a co-worker was killed in the mini-van (except for a 14 yr old boy). DFW-OK or Hill Country 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago   I too, avoid IH-35 like the PLAGUE!!! My Stepson, Mugg, lives in Leander which is N.W. Austin. I go through Marble Falls to get to Leander. I AVOID Austin as much as possible, even in a cage. I work in San Antonio, which is getting worse, but the drivers in Austin are just plain BAD!
