Just to keep everyone in the loop ...
I've been working with Gram to work out some technical details & things are coming along well.
Right now it's more organizing than anything else with a few things Gram needs to personally handle on his end.

When we relaunch the site it will look different with some re-organization of site sections.
You won't need to update your bookmarks as long as they just point to www.roadstarclinic.com, there will be a front page with links to different sections (forum, tech, etc).
If you're pointing to the address without the "WWW" in front of it you might get a dead link, we're working on that right now.

Once the new site is up & running if you want to make new shortcuts to just the forum or other sections you'll be able to do that.
Saving a link to the tech section link now will not work then. The content will be there, but the address will change.

Everyone will need to re-register on the new site after Feb 28.
You can use your current name or use a new one, your choice.
All post counts will start over at 0 unless an admin wants to record everyone's counts & spend time resetting them for people.

So far the only issues we've run into are very simple little bumps in the road & seem easily fixed.

The site will remain as-is through February 28, Gram has stated since that was his original announcement to the members he wants to stay consistent with it.
The only difference between his original statement about the final closure, is that a day or two after the closure, a new site will come back in it's place.

There will be additional content after the launch which will grow with time, to be announced on the new site.

Things are looking great for the continued future of the forum!

Can Steve pull a list of post counts close to the switch over date? I'd be willing volunteer my time to reset them as time goes on or as users request?

This is the best thing ever. Really glad not to lose the site and keep my friends. It only took me four years to get the 1000 mark and while I will mourn the loss of the hard earned 1K I am looking forward to having the feeling again.

I'm not on here as much as I used to be, but I cannot overstate how much this site has helped and entertained me over the years. I've always been comfortable working on my bikes, but having a group that is willing to answer a quick question or a tech article that gives you a new idea can be invaluable.
