Wow, what a scary ride that must have been. Sorry to hear it, but thankful that it went better than it could have. Prayers for healing and recovery. I confess that news like this makes me think twice about continuing to ride. I have a conjoined, i.e. "horseshoe", kidney and I'm not sure what would happen if it were damaged.

I saw on her Facebook she just came through her rib plating surgery and is doing well.

So sorry to see this post, but it sounds like things could have been much, much worse. The broken bones will heal, your body will heal from the surgeries, and bikes can be replaced or rebuilt... but the most important thing is you're here with us still. Well wishes for a speedy recovery!

reconstructed wrist, 8 broken and now plated ribs one kidney left


Sounds like a tough crash. Will update as I know more, but hopefully she will pop in and give us the rest of the story.
