Hi Ralph from Fayetteville. If I remember right that is just south of Atlanta.

I'm kp (Ken Potokar) and I am from Marietta just north of Atlanta. I'd be glad to do some ridding. In addition to my trips around town, I go to Florida a few times a year (Panama City Beach - Thunder Beach Bike Rally's, 4th of Juluy, etc) and I try to trailer to Southbend Indiana once a year and ride up once a year. Do you have any interest in riding up north? I will be going one way or another in August (40th High School reunion).

I have a good friend with a Pacific Coast Honda and we ride in the mountains around north Georgia a lot. Let me know if you are interested.

Hello KP

I would be interested in riding some time - but probably only 1-2 day trips. I have 3 kids and I'm out of town so much - I think some of the kids look like the UPS man!!! Just kidding - my wife would kill me if she saw that one.

We can e-mail or use the site if you have anything planned. Just let me know ahead of time and we can get together.

Ralph

Kp & Ralph. Count me in on a ride. I am abotu 45 minutes from Fayettville. I could possibly swing a 1-2 day ride. I travel quite a bit so I try to limit my long motorcycle trips. My email is Foster_Robert_J@cat.com.

My name is Greg. I found this site while doing my research on which bike I should buy. I am a father of 3 kids and husband of 2(just kidding, no I'm not mormon, no offense intended), been married about 10 years. I road a 1978 Yamaha 650 special about 10 years ago, then started the family thing and got rid of it. Changed careers a few times and now 10 years later, I could finally afford another bike(well not really but I bought it anyway). I enjoy my 04 midnight star more than I could have ever imagined. Its my dream bike. I've gotten some really good stuff of the the tech tips and forums and look forward to someday offering the same kind of help I received.

Ken, Ralph, Greg--Welcome to the Clinic! There's one main rule rule here...no question is too stupid to ask (believe me, I've tested this one many times ), so don't be shy!

Hello all,

Brand new to this site. Bought a 2004 Midnight Silverado last week with only 2500 miles on it. I'm jacked up! Just what I wanted. Previous bike was a V-Star 1100 classic. I love to ride on my days off and put over 10,000 miles on the bike in one year. Really liked the ride and feel and was already thinking Roadstar when a suicidal deer jumped out in front of me and saved me the hassle of trying to sell it. The insurance check went a long way toward the purchase of the new bike.

I love to ride two lane back-country roads so hopefully I've paid my dues regarding picking deer hair out of my teeth. The Road Star is everything I was hoping for. It came with stock exhaust so I did the Stage 1 modification last night to see how it would sound. Was planning on getting aftermarket exhaust system but not so sure now. The sound is just what I wanted. Throaty, but not too loud. Just hoping the next deer can hear me coming and will re-think needing to get across the road at that particular moment.

I own a business on the Central Coast of California that is tourist oriented. As soon as things calm down a little in late fall I'm planning a road trip out into the desert of New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada. I can hardly wait.
