Welcome Dryriver, 2000, and Robert. This is a great site.

Robert, I'm a Ga. rider myself, and have lost more than my fair share of $$$ at Summit down there, so watch out for that place. They seem to know when you have $ in your pocket! BB

That is a cool place, luckly I have only gone in to look. You need to check out Outdoor Power Sports - the local Yamaha dealer that is up the street, they are a good shop. I have bought 2 bikes from them. This is a great site!

I ordered that pipe, then changed my mind and got this one(R/H 2/1), as I was informed that that pipe was LOUD. Is it? It looks awesome, but I gotta creep out of my neighborhood early on weekdays, so.............

They are VERY loud. But, it puts those harley's to shame! I have to watch it in the neighborhood so I don't make everyone mad...I would live at the very back of it also! At idle these pipes are about 105 dB's!But, I love em.

O.K. To begin with I'm a rider not a computer jockey. So, I screwed up my intro post and didn't get a pic with it. I also don't know when to quit so I'll try it again.
Oh yeah, the box for the dog is required. She is almost 4 years old and has been in 28 states by truck and car, and 5 states on motorcycles.

I would rather be on my bike thinking about God, than sitting in church thinking about my bike.

Dryriver, thats awesome that you carry your pooch with you. He/She probably makes other dogs jealous when all they can do is stick their heads out a car window, and he's riding.

You say required, By law?

Here's the dog and grandson on my 650, which I traded in on the current roadstar.

New roadie from SW Kansas. Only had the star for a month, so it's still pretty much standard. Additions since pictures include hiway pegs, driver backrest, throttle lock and am replacing the passenger seat with a box for the dog.
Love the bike (only 722 miles so far). Retired and widowed and planning some heavyduty touring this summer.
Great forum!

Welcome Aboard!
