I don't like 2 up riding but it's one of those things I do for someone who really wants a ride.

The whole intention of getting the R* was so that my wife could comfortably ride along. I've only had it a few weeks and most riding has been to and from work with some errands thrown in. But I've taken her on a few rides.

So to date I'd estimate 85% solo. I'm hoping as she gets comfortable riding we venture out more and those numbers will move towards 50/50. But I'm always going to have my solo time.

My lady friend isn't interested. Would be nice though. By myself, after two or three hrs, I've had enough. Maybe I need a new lady friend.

I love to ride with my fiance, but I do get a fair amount of solo riding in. Life would be pretty boring alone. It helps that she is an awesome passenger. We just finished 2279 miles of mostly twisty roads and she never complained once and I pretty much ride the same with her on or not. So guess I would have to say shorter rides are good solo but for long rides two up is better.

I like 2 up only for being out with the wife and seeing her happy. but as for the ride (driveability) of 2 up? it sucks. Less safe, more work, less comfortable. All that said I prefer riding with my buddies. That's what I do a lot of.

I have never done a 2 up so solo is my way to go. My wife did say once she would like to go for a ride to see what it is like but I am chicken.

Will take the wife whenever she wants to, which isn't very often, so, I'm almost always riding solo, and much prefer it that way!
